Rapid Deployment
G6 design and manufacture a range of modules specifically designed to be used in rapid deployment situations. These include VHF handheld and portable base station modules, stand alone, self powered broadband satellite terminals with integrated wireless router capability, and discreet power modules utilising solar charging.
We can design a bespoke solution to address your specific operational requirements regardless of the geographical location or circumstances under which you need to work.
In addition to all of this we can hold the equipment at our HQ in Bristol prepared and maintained in a state of deployable readiness. We will ensure that batteries are charged and that systems are complete, tested and ready for immediate deployment. We will also programme all equipment to your specifications to ensure that it is ready to work as soon as it hits the ground in the specific theatre location.
COBRA™
Unique to G6 is the COBRA™ bagfit. It consists of a high power UHF or VHF radio, intelligent
mains battery charger and 7Ah gel filled battery, all mounted onto a specially fabricated and
powder coated aluminium backplate.
The unit weighs less than 5kg and can be used on the move with its integral antenna or mobile in a vehicle with the addition of a magmount or clip on vehicle antenna.
Because of its design it is highly portable. If a vehicle needs to be abandoned, such as in a 'contact' situation, the bag can simply be grabbed and you have a high power radio with you on the move; traditionally fitted vehicle radios do not provide this flexible capability.
When the final destination is reached it can be deployed in a base station configuration with the addition of a fixed, but easily deployable, base station antenna.
As with the other products in this family it can incorporate almost any model of radio, the only restriction being its physical size.
WOLF™
WOLF™ is designed to provide a low profile platform for use by surveillance teams and individuals where permanent fitting of a communications system into a vehicle is either not possible due to operational constraints or not practical due to high turnover of vehicles.
The WOLF™ unit is self-contained and centred on a radio of choice which could be either a commercial or military unit. Power is derived from the operational vehicle but there is a self contained version where power is provided from a long life 12V battery built within the WOLF™ package.
The ancillaries, connected through an interface unit, comprise:
- Remote PTT switch
- Remote tone sending switch
- Inductive loop or inductive pads
- Remote microphone
- Remote loudspeaker (switched)
- Choice of antennas; whip, magmount, bootlip, fully covert
The entire package can be housed within an enclosure of choice. Typically this would be a briefcase or pilot style case, or in a small rucksack. Where multiple units are required for the same area of operations the enclosures can be varied.
SHERPA
The SHERPA VHF portable kit, like the others in the rapid deployment family of kits, is fully
customisable. In its basic form it contains 6 radios complete with antennas & batteries, six
additional batteries, 3 single unit chargers and a multiway six unit charger.
The unit is self contained within a rugged enclosure and all critical connections are presented externally so there is no need to remove the unit from its housing.
Almost any radio makes and models can be incorporated into this design which is complete, compact and ready to use as soon as the case is opened. It can also be rapidly recovered and relocated should it need to be moved at short notice.
IBIX
The IBIX base station kit can be used in a fixed location or temporarily installed into a
vehicle or vessel. Depending on its role it comes complete with a power supply unit and all
necessary wiring and connectors for the type of radio installed. Any type of radio can be
built into the unit and this can be specified at the time of ordering.
A choice of antennas is available from a simple unity gain monopole to a 6dB co-linear antenna for permanent installation. All antennas are supplied with 30 metres of low loss RG213 coaxial cable terminated with the appropriate RF connector.
The units are constructed such that they can be operated without being removed from the
case and all critical connections are presented externally. If required they can be removed
and installed as a semi-permanent solution.
The units can be customised and built into a 19 inch rack mount configuration if required
and can be populated with any commercially available radio.
ECHO
The ECHO platform is a cost effective, rapidly deployable and fully rugged repeater that
will allow you to extend your network on either a temporary or permanent basis.
Based on the Motorola GM professional series radios this unit includes a duplexor (this needs to be pre-tuned), power supply unit and all connecting RF and power leads. The repeater can be housed in a rugged case or built into a 19 inch rack mount unit.
As with all of the products in this family it can be operated with the lid open or closed as all critical connections are externalised.
The repeater can be powered from a mains or DC source. This unit operates perfectly with the Rapid Deployment PowerModule. The PowerModule contains four high capacity solar batteries and a solar regulator connected to a 32Watt, polychristaline, flexible solar panel to keep the unit charged indefinitely.
PowerModule™
The PowerModule™ is a robust and rugged remote power solution. It provides a continuous 12VDC supply capable of running virtually any radio equipment with a 12VDC requirement.
It is even robust enough to provide continuous power for a 45 Watt UHF or VHF repeater system. The PowerModule can be charged from a mains source using its on-board intelligent battery charging system, or from an external solar source allowing it to remain deployed indefinitely.
CVIK
The Covert Vehicle Installation Kit (CVIK) is a custom designed kit for the covert installation of a commercial radio into a non-specific vehicle platform. It includes all of the components that are necessary to complete a custom covert installation.
If the specific vehicle type is known then the kit can be further customised to individual requirements to include fully covert replaceable antennas, diplexers and other custom features including inductive seat pads for improved audio reception and additional PTT or tone sending buttons as appropriate.
No tools are supplied with this kit and it is assumed that installation will be undertaken by suitably qualified personnel.
